
CHILLICOTHE, OH – April 7, 2025
Chillicothe police responded to a flurry of incidents across the city on Monday, resulting in multiple arrests and several active investigations ranging from drug offenses to domestic violence.
Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests
Around 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near East Main and Watt streets, leading to an arrest for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. A second warrant arrest followed shortly after 2 a.m. on Douglas Avenue. Later in the evening, additional warrant arrests occurred on East 4th Street and behind a residence on East 7th Street.
Theft & Trespassing Reports Under Review
At 5:50 a.m., police responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle on North High Street. That same day, another theft was reported by loss prevention at Walmart on River Trace Lane. In both cases, investigations are ongoing. Officers also investigated a trespassing complaint on South Walnut Street and a report of criminal trespass at the Speedway gas station on North Bridge Street.
Disorderly Conduct & Domestic Disputes
Disorderly conduct complaints were logged at various locations, including Main and High streets, River Trace Lane, and the Family Dollar on North Bridge Street. Officers also responded to a domestic violence call on East 4th Street around 11:30 p.m. That case remains under investigation.
Juvenile and Elderly Welfare Checks
An officer was contacted near Chillicothe High School in the morning regarding a missing elderly individual. Later, police responded to South Paint Street for an unruly juvenile. Both situations were resolved without charges.
Non-Criminal Reports Filed
Several non-criminal cases were documented, including a family dispute on East 4th Street and a noise complaint near East 8th Street. An accident was also reported on Piatt Avenue.
Community Urged to Remain Vigilant
With more than 20 incidents reported in one day, police continue to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and cooperate with ongoing investigations.
