
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police were kept busy over the weekend, responding to a range of incidents including multiple thefts, break-ins, traffic offenses, and well-being checks, according to the department’s media report from April 11 to April 13, 2025.
Among the most notable events:
- Thefts and Burglaries: Officers took reports of thefts on U.S. Route 23 and East Franklin Street, as well as a stolen vehicle from East Main Street. Breaking and entering cases were documented on Lancaster Pike, East Mound Street, and South Court Street. A burglary on Little Walnut Road is being handled by another agency.
- Vehicle Incidents: A non-injury crash was reported on Northridge Road, while an injury accident occurred Friday night on Clark Drive. Several traffic stops resulted in citations and warnings, including along N. Court Street, US 23, and Dupont Drive.
- Suspicious and Domestic Calls: Police responded to several domestic disputes, including one on East High Street and another on Forest Drive. Suspicious persons were reported on Kingston Pike, and 911 hang-ups were frequent across the city, all checked and cleared.
- Animal and Juvenile Complaints: Officers addressed barking dogs, juvenile disturbances, and an animal-related incident on Meadow Lane, which was turned over to another agency.
- Civil and Property Issues: Officers investigated property damage cases on West High Street and South Court Street, and responded to civil disputes on East Mound Street and East Franklin Street.
- Community Safety Checks: Numerous well-being checks were conducted throughout the city, with several resulting in reports taken or subjects unable to be located. Business checks were also performed late into the evening hours.
The department recorded 87 total calls for service during the reporting period, highlighting a busy and varied few days for Circleville’s officers. Several investigations remain ongoing.
