Chillicothe Police Respond to Variety of Incidents Across City on April 14

CHILLICOTHE, OH — April 15, 2025
The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of calls on Monday, April 14, with incidents spanning from criminal trespassing and domestic violence to outstanding warrant arrests and traffic violations.

Among the day’s most notable reports:

  • Criminal Trespass: Officers were called to 61 N. Bridge St. shortly after midnight regarding a trespassing complaint. A report was taken with no further developments at the time.
  • Warrants Served: Two individuals were taken into custody on active warrants. One arrest took place at 28 N. Paint St., while the second, Carla Bailes, was located and arrested near W. Main St. and N. Walnut St. following a tip from the public.
  • Domestic Violence: Police responded to a domestic incident on Toledo St. early in the morning. The investigation remains ongoing.
  • Traffic Incidents: Several traffic stops were conducted throughout the day, including one at E. 2nd St. near Mulberry St. for failing to stop at a sign. Another stop on N. Bridge St. led to citations for operating a motorcycle without an endorsement and for excessive noise.
  • Disorderly Conduct: A complaint of disorderly conduct was reported at Lincoln Park just after 10:30 a.m. Officers responded and took appropriate action.
  • Harassment and Menacing: A case of telecommunications harassment was reported on W. Main St., while a separate incident involving threats occurred near Park St. and W. Water St. Both cases are under investigation.
  • Suspicious Activity: Residents on Clay St. reported a suspicious person looking into their windows. The case is being actively investigated.
  • Trespassing at Local Businesses: Two separate trespass complaints were investigated at Jerry’s Pizza on S. Paint St. and the Cozy Corner Diner on E. 7th St.
  • Accident and Non-Criminal Cases: Officers also handled a minor vehicle accident on S. Bridge St. and other non-criminal complaints throughout the city.
