Lancaster Man Arrested After Pedestrian Struck in Hit-and-Run on East Main Street

LANCASTER, OH — April 14, 2025
A Lancaster man is facing multiple charges after allegedly striking a pedestrian with his vehicle and fleeing the scene on Sunday evening.

At approximately 8:42 p.m. on April 13, officers with the Lancaster Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle near 512 East Main Street. The victim, who was walking on the sidewalk at the time of the incident, suffered serious injuries.

When officers arrived, the suspect vehicle had already left the scene. The Lancaster Fire Department provided emergency treatment to the victim, who was first taken to Fairfield Medical Center before being transferred to a Columbus-area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The LPD’s Crash Reconstruction Team launched an investigation, leading to the identification and arrest of Ralph Davis, 47, of Lancaster. Davis has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Vehicular Assault – a third-degree felony
  • Failure to Stop After an Accident – a fifth-degree felony
  • Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence – a first-degree misdemeanor

Davis is currently being held at the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has additional information to contact the Lancaster Police Department.
