CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A man identified as Logan Jones was arrested on multiple charges after a series of disorderly conduct complaints escalated into a dramatic discovery involving suspected drug use inside a police cruiser.
On April 16, around 5:52 p.m., Circleville police were dispatched to 520 E. Main Street for a well-being check. Officer RJ Martin responded and warned a male, presumably Logan—for disorderly conduct. Later that evening, at 8:12 p.m., police received a separate call reporting a man in a pink sweatshirt with face tattoos following and yelling at a woman in the area of Pontious Lane.
Officer Martin spotted Logan Jones walking along Lancaster Pike and stopped him at Fairview Avenue. Jones denied involvement in the disturbance, claiming he had been dropped off by his girlfriend to visit her nearby apartment. When questioned further, his statements became inconsistent, prompting police to arrest him for disorderly conduct persisting.
During the arrest, Jones allegedly resisted slightly by tensing his muscles but was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. While en route to the jail, Officer Martin observed Jones making suspicious movements in the back of the cruiser. When questioned, Jones claimed he was taking his medication, which he said was in his pocket.
Upon arriving at the jail, Officer Martin witnessed Jones toss an object to the vehicle’s floorboard. White powder was later seen on the car door, seat, and on Jones’s nose—substances not present before his arrest. Jones again claimed it was his medication.
Subsequent searches and video footage revealed Jones had retrieved a folded piece of paper from his pocket and appeared to snort the white powder from the cruiser’s door handle. He also allegedly consumed some of the substance orally. A field test on the powder came back positive for methamphetamine.
The paper, laced with crystalline residue, was photographed and collected as evidence. Police say body and cruiser camera footage confirms the sequence of events, including Jones tampering with evidence and ingesting the substance.
This isn’t Jones’s first encounter with Circleville police. Officers had responded to previous incidents involving him allegedly walking into traffic and behaving erratically in public, which he reportedly claimed was to boost views for his rap career.
Logan Jones now faces multiple charges, including:
- Disorderly Conduct
- Obstructing Official Business
- Possession of drugs
- Tampering with Evidence
- Aggravated Possession of Controlled Substances
- Probation violation
He is currently being held at Pickaway County Sheriff office.
