PICKAWAY COUNTY, OH – Emergency personnel responded to a distress call Friday morning after two individuals were found unresponsive at a rest stop along U.S. Route 23, just north of South Bloomfield.
The call came in around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders immediately administered Narcan in an attempt to revive the individuals. Despite their efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe drug overdose may be the cause, though an official cause of death has not been confirmed. The Pickaway County Coroner responded to the scene, and an investigation is now underway.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
