
CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe Police were kept busy on Thursday, April 18, 2025, responding to a range of incidents including criminal trespassing, theft, vandalism, and multiple traffic-related offenses across the city.
The first call came in shortly after midnight when officers were dispatched to the Pilot Travel Center on East Main Street for a reported theft. A separate call at the same location led to a warrant arrest less than an hour later.
Officers then responded to several more incidents throughout the early morning hours:
Criminal trespassing was reported outside Krispy Kreme on North Bridge Street, where individuals were found camping in front of the store.
Vandalism was reported at a residence on South Brownell Street around 3:43 a.m.
Two separate theft investigations were opened on Park Street, including one involving a potential theft from a motor vehicle.
Another trespassing call came in from BP on North Bridge Street at 5:13 a.m.
Later in the day, police responded to a disorderly conduct report at the Ross County Law Complex, followed by a traffic stop for a license violation on North Bridge Street.
Other incidents included:
A shoplifting and license suspension case on River Trace Lane.
A juvenile complaint involving trespassing and disorderly conduct on Jefferson Avenue.
An arrest for probation violation following a trespassing call on North High Street.
A theft complaint at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where officers also encountered obstructive behavior.
Two separate traffic stops for excessive noise violations, one involving a Ford Mustang and the other a Kawasaki motorcycle.
A threats and disorderly conduct report at the Walmart on River Trace Lane.
In total, Chillicothe Police documented at least 20 individual case numbers over the course of the day, as officers handled incidents from traffic enforcement to ongoing criminal investigations. Many cases remain under investigation.
