Laurelville, OH — Acclaimed glass artist Jack Pine has revealed his highly anticipated 2025 Mother’s Day Pumpkin, a vibrant new creation that blends art with heart in support of breast cancer research. The one-of-a-kind glass piece, featuring a radiant pink hue with spring green accents and shimmering touches of gold, will debut at the Jack Pine Glass Garden Art Festival, held May 2–4 in the scenic Hocking Hills.

The annual festival, hosted on Pine’s picturesque 11-acre property in Laurelville, offers the first opportunity for visitors to purchase this year’s special-edition pumpkin. The collectible design honors women who have battled breast cancer and pays tribute to the strength and resilience of their families.
A portion of proceeds from the pumpkin’s sales will benefit the Smullen Family Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center–Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Pine has pledged to donate 10% of all Mother’s Day pumpkin sales—including online orders through May—to the fund. Established in memory of Ohioan Cindy Smullen, the fund supports ongoing breast cancer research and has become a meaningful way for the Smullen family to continue her legacy.
This is not the first time Pine has used his art to champion important causes. In 2024, his teal Mother’s Day pumpkin raised more than $8,600 for ovarian cancer research. And each December, his generosity takes center stage during his Annual Holiday Toy Drive, where thousands of hand-blown ornaments are exchanged for toys to brighten the holidays for local families. Over the years, Pine and his team have donated more than 15,000 toys valued at over $700,000.
The Jack Pine Glass Garden Art Festival promises a weekend filled with stunning hand-blown art, featuring more than 1,000 of Pine’s luminous pumpkins and glass garden sculptures, plus work from more than two dozen other artists. The family-friendly event also includes live music, kids’ activities, local food trucks, and a perfect setting for Mother’s Day shopping.
