Officers’ Swift Action Leads to DUI Arrest, Narcotics Seizure in Duke and Duchess Incident
Circleville – The Circleville Police department successfully apprehended a suspect and seized a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics during a routine patrol earlier this week.
Police were called to area of Duke and Duchess, officers’ and identified a driver exhibiting concerning behavior behind the wheel. The driver appeared to be under the influence, potentially jeopardizing their own safety and the safety of others on the road.
Engaging with the driver, officers conducted standard sobriety tests as a precautionary measure. These tests revealed signs of impairment, prompting further investigation. A background check additionally uncovered an outstanding warrant for the driver’s arrest.
Police then took the man into custody and searched his car. This comprehensive search yielded a significant discovery – a quantity of Xanax pills exceeding the legal threshold for felony charges, along with over 10 grams of methamphetamine.
