FRANKLIN County OH – An Amber Alert has been cancelled following the discovery of a deceased child and the subsequent safe recovery of two siblings. The mother who reported one child missing is now the subject of a police search.
On June 28, 32-year-old Lashanda Delores Wilder contacted police to report her son missing from their home on Olmstead Avenue and St. Clair Street. During the investigation, authorities discovered a body inside Wilder’s home. The Amber Alert was then issued for her two other children, King Wilder, 3, and Mikhael Simon, 9.
The alert was resolved when King and Mikhael were found safe at a friend’s house.
Authorities are now searching for Lashanda Wilder to question her about the circumstances surrounding her son’s death. She is described as 5’7″, 220 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red head covering, black t-shirt, black pants, and red slippers.
The Franklin Police Department urges anyone with information about Wilder’s whereabouts to come forward.
