Opening night of the 2025 Chillicothe Art League Spring Open at the Pump House

Chillicothe plus a 75-mile radius — The competition show for the Chillicothe Art League is this month, in conjunction with the annual “Earth Gathering” on Saturday, at the Pump House Center for the Arts.

The 26th annual “Spring Open” features works by 61 artists from a 75-mile radius of Chillicothe. Hear the awards announced in the below video, as well as see a browsing of the main floor’s art.

I caught five of the artists at the April 3rd opening, and interviewed each one at one of their works in the Pump House – see and hear from them in the rest of the videos.

And, on Saturday, the Earth Gathering – the annual juried invitational art festival – runs from 11am to 6pm on the grounds of the Pump House, while the free art show will also be open. Coordinator Shelly Pocock has confirmed that the weather will allow it on April 12th (see related story).

The show runs through the end of the month. The Pump House Center for the Arts is closed Mondays, but open most other days at least 11 to 4. Learn more on their Facebook page
