Passes go on sale May 2 for unique performance in Hocking Hills State Park

HOCKING HILLS, Ohio — Music and nature will blend in breathtaking harmony this summer as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra returns to Hocking Hills State Park for a special performance at Ash Cave on Sunday, June 15. Presented by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), the concert promises a one-of-a-kind experience in one of the state’s most scenic natural amphitheaters.

General admission passes for the highly anticipated event go on sale Friday, May 2. The concert will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m., offering a mix of light classical pieces set against the natural acoustics of Ash Cave, where music echoes and resonates through the massive sandstone recess.

“The experience of listening to live music in Ash Cave is like no other,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “I am thrilled that the Columbus Symphony Orchestra is coming back to the Hocking Hills to perform for a fourth year in a row. It’s truly a remarkable experience to be in a rich natural setting and be immersed in live music outdoors.”

Held during Father’s Day weekend, the event is expected to draw visitors from across the state and beyond. Admission is granted with the purchase of a general admission parking pass, which allows entry for one vehicle and up to eight guests. Passes are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets for seating. VIP tickets are also available for an additional $20 per person and include reserved chair seating.

All proceeds from the event will support Ohio’s 76 state parks. For ticketing and event details, visit ohiodnr.gov.
