Ashville – A large crowd gathered on Thursday for the opening events of the Ashville 4th of July festival.
The festival was set to kick off on Thursday, June 30th, and runs until July 4th. The festival starts with a little miss/Mr contestant parade through town, immediately after a contest to see who will win.
Around 400 people came to the festival on Thursday where a ride special, food trucks and vendors were all open and ready to serve.
Gracie Richard was crowned Little Miss of 2022, her parents are Cait and Damon Richard. 1st Attendant is Camrie Licostie, parents Brittany and Derek Bragg 2nd Attendant Dayna Lewis parents Joey and Sarah Lewis.
Little Mister of the festival was also crowned, Gentry Gloyd won the honor of the 2022 Ashville Festival Little Mr. His parents Colton Gloyd, and Sinead Engler. 1st attendant Parker Hodge parents Justin Hodge, and Nikki Burns, 2nd attendant Reed Barnette, parents Alisha and Dan Barnette.
Congrats to all the kiddos that participated, in total there were 32 girls and 10 boys who dressed up, rode in the parade, and participated.
Tonight Miss Ashville 4th of July will be crowned.
