ATHENS – The Athens City-County Health Department confirms their first case of COIVD-19 in Athens county. This is not the same person as the student from OU that tested positive in his home county.
The first case has been confirmed and Athens is working on contacting people who were around the man. The person is at home recovering from the virus at this time.
Athens Health Department wants to remind people to practice social distancing, frequent hand washing, keeping surfaces clean, and staying home.
