Athens County OH- Father and Son Duo Busted Trafficking Drugs Out of Campers

Athens County OH- On July 22, 2021, the Athens County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit, Special Response Team (SRT) and the Athens Major Crimes Unit in collaboration with the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office executed two search warrants on Church House Road after an investigation into drug trafficking in the Oakdale area. Units searched two campers on the properties and located suspected heroin, methamphetamine and abuse instruments associated with the drugs. Sheriff Smith states “Multiple arrests were made as a result of this successful joint investigation.”

Paul E. Losey Sr., age 47, was arrested for Possession of Drugs and Possession of Criminal Tools, both felonies of the 4th degree.

Paul “PJ” Losey Jr., age 27, was arrested for Trafficking in Drugs, Possession of Drugs and Possession of Criminal Tools, all felonies of the 4th degree.

Items are being sent to the lab for testing and additional charges are suspected. The Athens County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Athens Adult Parole Authority and Athens County Prosecutor’s Office for their assistance.
