Late on November 24, 2024, the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an attempted burglary involving an RV parked at the Pilot Gas Station on US-23 in Circleville.

At approximately 11:14 p.m., a woman contacted authorities, reporting that a man was trying to break into her RV, where she resides. She stated that the man was prying the door and windows and had even climbed onto the roof of the vehicle in an attempt to gain entry.

When deputies arrived, they found a tall man wearing a gray hooded sweater, blue jeans, and boots pulling on the RV’s front door. As law enforcement ordered him to show his hands, the man moved out of sight, prompting a request for additional units and a K-9 unit.

The K-9 tracked the suspect to a location underneath the RV, where deputies discovered him hiding near the axle and wheel well. The man complied with orders to emerge and was taken into custody.

Initially, the man identified himself as “Herberto” but refused to provide further details about his identity, claiming he didn’t know his last name or date of birth. Later, he admitted to being intoxicated and purposefully withholding his identity because of outstanding felony warrants in Ross County.

He was transported to the Pickaway County Jail, where deputies learned his true identity as Robert Senn. During the arrest, Senn was found with gloves and a headlamp, which authorities believe were intended for the attempted break-in.

The RV’s occupant reported that Senn had followed her from a gas station in Kingston where she works. She described his aggressive actions, including banging on windows, yelling, and attempting to force open the RV’s door. While fearful of potential retaliation, she provided deputies with a written statement after being assured of her rights.

Senn faces multiple charges related to the incident, including attempted burglary, burglary, and fugitive from justice. Resources and support have been offered to the victim as the case moves forward.
