Austin Keil appeared in court this week and was found guilty of attempted kidnapping, receiving a 36-month prison sentence. The charges stem from a May 9, 2024, incident in Madison County, Ohio, where Keil and Sabrina Coltey were involved in a burglary and attempted to access gun safes at a residence.

According to the victim, Keil entered the home wielding a baseball bat and instructed them to sit on the couch while Coltey attempted to find the combination to the safes. The pair also vandalized the victim’s car before fleeing in a silver Nissan Versa.

Both Keil and Coltey were arrested weeks later and face charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and theft. Coltey is currently awaiting court in Pickaway County jail.

Keil’s sentencing brings closure to the case, but the investigation continues into the involvement of a third unidentified male, reportedly 15 years old.
