CIRCLEVILLE, OH – December 16, 2024 – Mark your calendars for July 5, 2025! The Backwoods Boom is set to make its return in a big way at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds in Circleville. This exciting Fourth of July celebration promises food, live music, and an unforgettable fireworks show.

Organized by local residents Cody Thompson and Riley Minor, this event builds upon the groups commitment to creating fun, community-driven experiences. Last year, they hosted a fireworks show at the Old Barns at Dry Run Farms, but this year’s event promises even bigger things at the fairgrounds, located at 415 Lancaster Pike.

“We started as a small show in my backyard for family and friends about five years ago,” Riley Minor shared. “Every year, we’ve worked toward improving the show in both size and quality. We wanted to involve the community because we believed this could be a way to bring people together and create something positive for Circleville.”

From humble beginnings in Thompson’s backyard to a community-focused event with major potential, Backwoods Boom is expanding its reach and offering a new kind of Fourth of July celebration. “Circleville doesn’t have much for the Fourth of July, and we think we can give it that spark,” Minor added.

The fairgrounds venue will allow the event to engage more residents and visitors who may not have previously participated. Plans are well underway for a day of family-friendly fun, local food vendors, live music performances, and an exciting fireworks display to cap off the evening.

Stay tuned for more details as the event develops. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the holiday with food, fun, and fireworks, the Backwoods Boom will be the event to remember.
