MOUNT STERLING, OH – A longtime staple of the community, Ben & Joy’s Restaurant, is set to close its doors after serving home-cooked meals for nearly four decades.
Located at 35 S. London St. in the heart of town, the restaurant has been a familiar landmark for both residents and travelers passing through Mount Sterling. Since its opening in 1984, Ben & Joy’s has been known for its hearty breakfast offerings and beloved buffet-style comfort food, making it a cherished gathering place for generations of diners.
In an emotional social media announcement, the restaurant’s owners expressed their deep gratitude to employees and loyal customers, confirming that the establishment will officially close on Sunday, February 2.
“It is with humble gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Ben & Joy’s Restaurant,” the post read. “This has been a very difficult and emotional decision, and we are so sad to say goodbye.”
The owners paid special tribute to their hardworking staff, calling them “family” and recognizing their dedication, warmth, and resilience in an industry that demands both passion and perseverance. They also extended heartfelt thanks to their many customers, both longtime patrons and newcomers, who made the restaurant a success over the years.
