Chillicothe & Ross County — The Pump House Center for the Arts starts their year with the annual “Best of Ross County,” a judged show of high school art, with an opening reception Thursday evening.
I caught the judge of the show at the Pump House Wednesday, and found that he was my OU-C photography instructor Dennis Deane – who has also taught other art classes.
He had not assigned the ribbons yet in the Pump House, but agreed to give a video tour of the show in part to help him make up his mind…which turned into a long chat on his observations on the students’ art, and art philosophy. Watch all 35 minutes of the interview in the five videos below.
Then, join me 6:30 February 1st in the Pump House in Chillicothe’s Yoctangee Park to find out who the winners are…and enjoy pizza and lemonade among high school talent!
