Pleasant Township Fire Department, along with mutual aid units, responded to a structure fire early this morning in Pleasant Township. The fire was reported around 6:40 a.m. in the area of 2600 Valley View Road NE.
Upon arrival, crews were informed of a potential person trapped inside the home. Despite efforts to locate the individual, extreme conditions prevented firefighters from safely conducting a rescue.
Officials have now confirmed that at least one person has died as a result of the fire. No additional details about the victim have been released at this time.
