BUCKEYE LAKE, OH (September 2, 2024) — Emergency services were dispatched to the east end of Buckeye Lake around 4 p.m. today following reports of an individual who fell into the water and was unaccounted for.
Initial reports indicate that the person was not seen for an extended period after falling into the lake. Multiple emergency response teams arrived on the scene and conducted a search of the area for approximately 30 minutes.
Due to the challenging conditions, a dive team was requested to assist with the search in the 9000 block of Vista Point Drive.
As of now, the status of the individual remains unclear. Authorities are continuing their efforts to locate and rescue the person.
Update – Cancelled, person was found and is ok.
