Marietta – A Orient man was killed in a plane crash this morning.
OSP has reported that a plane has crashed in Marietta Ohio after taking off from Columbus Airport
The Beech E90 king air was a dual prop plane that took off from Columbus around 7 am this morning it crashed into a car lot in Marietta and the Washington County line.
OSP is warning people to avoid the area on SR 7 between I-77 and Browns Road.
Photos show that the plane landed in town by Hensler’s town and county Market.
UPDATE – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marietta Post is investigating a fatal plane crash that was reported this morning at 7:15 a.m. The crash occurred at the Pioneer Buick GMC dealership parking lot located at 1000 Pike Street, Marietta in Washington County.
The preliminary investigation shows the plane was a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90. The pilot and a second occupant sustained fatal injuries. There are no reported injuries to individuals who were on the ground.

There is reported damage to multiple vehicles and buildings at the dealership. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
