Michigan – SHots were fired at Michigan State University at around 8:15 pm according to an all-call from campus security
Governor Gretchen Whitmer reported, “I’ve been briefed on the shooting at Michigan State University. The Michigan State Police along with @msupolice, local law enforcement and first responders are on the ground. Let’s wrap our arms around the Spartan community tonight. We will keep everyone updated as we learn more.”
Michigan university police believe that the suspect is believed to be on foot, and there are multiple reported injuries and victims
Police reported that there has been a shooting at IM East and near Berky Hall. Police are asking for people to shelter in place on and off campus
UPDATE – Three people have been killed and five injured
Update – UPDATE: The suspect has been located off campus. It appears he has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There is no longer a threat to campus and the shelter-in-place has been lifted.
The Suspect was described as a 43-year-old, male with no affiliation with the college.
