RCHD is reporting the first positive West Nile Virus Mosquito sample. There are no human cases at this time. The group of mosquitoes were collected on July 24, 2022 at the Scioto Trails State Park.
Follow these three steps to help reduce the risk of mosquito bites:
- Dump out standing water
- Dress in long pants and long sleeves whenever possible
- Defend by using insect repellent
