New Holland – A fire broke out in a home in New Holland around 3 pm on Monday.
Area firefighters arrived on the scene to a fire in the basement of the home located at 120 block of West Front Street. Mutual aid was called in from Tri-County, Wayne Township, Washington Court House, Box 65, Fayette County EMS, and New Holland Police department.
According to law enforcement on scene, the fire was contained in the lower areas of the home for fire damage, but smoke damage throughout the home. The fire will displace the family.
