Update New Holland Structure Fire Contained Thanks to Swift Response

Pickaway County, OH – September 2, 2024

Emergency crews responded quickly to a structure fire in New Holland on Monday afternoon. The blaze was reported around 4 p.m. in the 100 block of School Street East.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered Smoke on the exterior wall of the building billowing from the structure. The volunteer firefighters acted swiftly to douse the flames, and they removed the siding to locate and extinguish the fire that had spread within the walls.

Though some smoke damage affected the interior, the quick actions of the Pickaway Fire Department, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, and New Holland Police Department prevented further damage. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The building was saved thanks to the prompt and efficient response of the emergency services.
