
Circleville, OH — April 21, 2025 — The Circleville Police Department responded to a variety of incidents over the weekend, logging more than 70 calls for service ranging from burglary reports and juvenile complaints to drunk driving and well-being checks.
Burglary and Breaking & Entering
Officers responded to multiple burglary-related incidents, including a burglary in progress on South Court Street early Friday morning and a confirmed break-in later that day at another address on the same street. Additional breaking and entering calls were reported on Clinton Street Saturday night and on Hayward Street late Sunday evening, with reports taken in both cases.
Juvenile Issues and Protection Order Violations
Several juvenile-related complaints were reported across Circleville, including on Clark Drive, Renick Avenue, East Union Street, and Logan Street. In some instances, reports were filed; others resulted in no further action after officers were unable to locate the individuals involved.
Officers also responded to multiple protection order violations, including on Sharon Road and Nicholas Drive, with at least one incident resulting in an official report.
Drunk and Disorderly
Alcohol-related offenses made up a noticeable portion of the call volume. Arrests were made for intoxication on South Court Street Friday evening, while another drunk driving citation was issued early Sunday morning on the same street. Additional calls involving intoxicated individuals were noted, although some suspects had left the area before officers arrived.
Other Notable Incidents
- A non-injury crash occurred on East Main Street Friday afternoon, with police filing a report.
- Fights and assaults were reported on York Street late Friday, leading to further investigation.
- Officers performed numerous business checks and alarm drop responses, the majority of which were cleared without issue.
- Reports of threats and harassment were filed on Abernathy Avenue, East Franklin Street, and Clinton Street.
- Several well-being checks and mental health-related calls were conducted, ensuring the safety of residents across multiple neighborhoods.
