Cargill Invests in Circleville Facility to Enhance Efficiency and Safety

For 28 years, Cargill has been a proud part of the Circleville community, operating a grain elevator and playing a crucial role in the local agricultural economy. Now, the company is making significant investments to modernize and improve its Circleville facility, focusing on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Cargill’s Circleville location serves approximately 1,500 customers, purchasing grain from area farmers and distributing it through its extensive grain elevator and processing network. Beyond its agricultural contributions, the company actively supports local organizations like the Inspiration Station Children’s Museum and the Pickaway County Fairgrounds.

Facility Upgrades & Improvements

As part of its commitment to enhanced operations, Cargill is making several key upgrades, including:
Updating equipment and rebuilding outdated structures.
Enhancing safety measures for workers and customers.
Improving truck staging and traffic flow for a more efficient experience.
Upgrading dust aspiration and stormwater runoff systems to improve environmental impact.
Enhancing the site’s overall appearance to support a cleaner, more modern facility.

State Grant Supports Revitalization

These improvements are made possible in part by a $1,856,500 state demolition grant, awarded through a collaboration with the Pickaway County Port Authority. The funds will support extensive demolition and revitalization efforts at Cargill’s 309 W. Main Street location.

“This project wouldn’t be possible without the support of Pickaway County Port Authority and Patriot Engineering,” said Chandler McCullough, Area Operations Manager for Cargill’s Circleville facility. “We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue growing in Circleville and making necessary upgrades to better serve our customers and community.”

With these investments and strong local partnerships, Cargill is reaffirming its long-term commitment to Circleville, ensuring its facility remains a cornerstone of the local agricultural economy for years to come.
