CHILLICOTHE, OH – A man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly chasing his ex-girlfriend through town and later being found in possession of suspected anabolic steroids.
According to the Chillicothe Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Riverside Street and North Mulberry Street around 4:47 a.m. to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Trooper Hendershot had pulled over a vehicle with Ohio registration JWC8652, driven by Chloe Heshiser. Heshiser told authorities that James Summar, her ex-boyfriend, had been pursuing her down North Bridge Street in an attempt to retrieve his belongings.
Earlier that night, officers had responded to a call at Gabe’s on North Bridge Street regarding a reckless driver following another vehicle. Summar was warned at that time about his behavior. Due to his prior warning, officers ordered him out of his vehicle and placed him under arrest for persisting disorderly conduct.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, Officer Davis discovered a black book bag in the rear passenger seat containing a black case with three glass vials of liquid labeled as anabolic steroids. The substances, identified as Test CYP 200 mg/ml, NPP 200 mg/ml, and Masteron Enanthate 200 mg/ml, were photographed and placed into evidence for testing. Officers also found three used disposable needles with liquid residue, along with multiple empty vials and a box of unused needles.
Summar was initially charged with persisting disorderly conduct and possession of drug abuse instruments. Authorities stated he may face additional charges for possession of a controlled substance pending test results from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
The vehicle was towed by BB Towing, and its registered owner, Michale Summar, will be notified by mail.
Summar was transported to Ross County Jail, where he awaits his court appearance in Chillicothe Municipal Court on March 31 at 9:00 a.m.
