CHILLICOTHE, OH – September 3, 2024 – Geovanii Casillas, a 50-year-old resident of Chillicothe, has been charged with several counts of rape and sexual misconduct involving a 13-year-old child. The charges arise from an investigation into allegations made by the child, who reported the abuse after staying overnight at Casillas’ home.
According to the reports, the victim disclosed to authorities that Casillas, who had recently separated from her mother, sexually assaulted her twice and molested her multiple times over the past year. The incidents are alleged to have occurred at Casillas’ residence on Midland Road in Chillicothe and in Amanda in Fairfield County.
Casillas was arraigned earlier today, with the court setting a bond of $100,000 for the rape charges and an additional $75,000 for related offenses. His next court date is set for September 24th.
Charges are possibly pending in Fairfield County also.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to ensure justice for the victim and address the serious nature of the charges.
