Chillicothe OH- E. Jeanne Denney, 97, of Chillicothe, died 7:31 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in National Church Residences, Chillicothe following an extended illness.
She was born May 4, 1923, in Jackson, Ohio, to the late George Frederick and Emma Pearl Lindamood Rupert. On September 5, 1946, she married William H. Denney who died February 3, 1981.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Larissa Jo Hall, of Powell, Ohio and Ann Denney Brown, of Worthington, OH; great nieces and great nephews, Tammy Cauetla, Brett Hall, Heath Hall, Christopher Brown and David Brown. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters.
Jeanne was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its Susan Henry Circle. She was a retired dental assistant. She was a member of the Elks Ladies Club, Seroptimist Club International, Century Club, the League of Merry and the Home League of the Salvation Army. Jeanne was a very kind and giving person who enjoyed helping others.
A private funeral service will be held for family. A public graveside service will be held at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Kurt King officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
