Chillicothe OH- The Chillicothe Police Department is reporting two separate incidents where children had been left unattended inside vehicles over the weekend.
On May 22nd, 2021 at 1:30P.M an officer arrived at the first incident near the Speedway gas station on East Main Street, where a small child was left inside a vehicle unattended. The individual driving the vehicle was the childs mother and the case with an endangering children charge has been turned over to the juvenile Prosecutor’s office. There were no reports of the child being injured.
On May 22, 2021 at 5:00P.M, an officer was dispatched to a business on Rivertrace Lane, reference a small juvenile in a vehicle. Caller stated the vehicle was not running and the windows were not rolled down. Contact was made with the guardian and a report was taken. Guardian was issued a summons for Endangering Children.
