Chillicothe Police Department Cracks Down on Drug Trafficking

On August 10, 2024, the Chillicothe Police Department, in collaboration with the US 23 Task Force and Portsmouth Police Department, executed search warrants at two residences on W. Water Street, resulting in a significant drug bust.

During the search, officers seized substantial quantities of illicit substances, including 14 grams of cocaine and 105 grams (3.7 oz) of fentanyl. Additionally, a loaded firearm, cash, and evidence indicative of drug trafficking activities were discovered.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the raid: Alec Tivis, 27, of Cincinnati, on a felony warrant for possession and trafficking of drugs, and Adontis Harris, 26, of Chillicothe, on a misdemeanor warrant. Further felony drug charges are pending lab results.
