Chillicothe, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents throughout the city on September 7, 2024, spanning from vandalism to domestic disputes.

Early Morning Vandalism At 1:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to 101 University Dr. at Ohio University Chillicothe in response to a report of vandalism. The case is currently under investigation.

Disorderly Conduct and Arrest Shortly after, at 2:21 a.m., police assisted the Ohio State Patrol with a traffic stop on North Bridge St. Brooklyn Dennis was arrested for Disorderly Conduct Persisting.

Theft Investigation At 3:20 a.m., officers investigated a theft at the Pilot Station located at 1111 E Main St. The investigation is ongoing.

Found Property Returned By 7:24 a.m., a wallet found on University Dr. was returned to its owner, Kayden Aftyka. Nothing was reported missing from the wallet.

Disorderly Conduct Report A disorderly conduct complaint was reported at 12:39 p.m. on E 2nd St. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant and Trespassing At 12:44 p.m., police responded to a report of trespassing on McKeller St. and are continuing their investigation into the matter.

Traffic Violations A traffic stop conducted at 4:13 p.m. on Jefferson Ave resulted in the discovery of a warrant and charges related to operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Human Trafficking Complaint Officers responded to a complaint of human trafficking at 5:43 p.m. on E Water St. at Cristy’s Pizza. The case is under investigation.

Disorderly Conduct and Intoxication At 7:49 p.m., police were dispatched to 464 Belleview Ave for a disorderly conduct report involving intoxication and a domestic situation. The investigation continues.

Criminal Trespass Complaint At 8:15 p.m., officers addressed a criminal trespass complaint on S Paint St. The matter is under review.

Domestic Dispute The day concluded with a domestic dispute reported at 11:18 p.m. on Vine St. Police are investigating the incident.
