CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents over the weekend, highlighting various criminal and non-criminal activities in the area.
On October 19, at 1:48 AM, officers initiated contact with a vehicle at 24 N. Bridge St., leading to an arrest for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
Later that morning, at 4:17 AM, a traffic stop on Belleview Ave. resulted in a citation for an expired license plate and validation sticker.
By 9:27 AM, officers were dispatched to Loganview Dr. regarding a reported theft; the investigation is ongoing. Concurrently, a misuse of the 911 system was reported on Consumer Center Dr., and that investigation is also ongoing.
At 11:50 AM, police responded to E. 2nd St., where they investigated a case of theft without consent and criminal mischief. Shortly after, at 4:13 PM on W. 4th St., an assault was reported involving a confrontation between two individuals, leading to an investigation.
A runaway juvenile case was reported at 5:41 PM on S. McArthur St., and officers also investigated a disorderly conduct incident on Prospect St. around the same time.
Police were called to the Circleville/Ross County line for a prisoner transport at 5:54 PM, and a report of suicidal threats was made at 900 Orange St. at 6:17 PM.
As night fell, officers encountered two males on bicycles on E. Water St., which led to further investigations involving drug paraphernalia and a warrant at 6:33 PM.
By 7:42 PM, a criminal trespass complaint was received at 88 S. Sugar St., while a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of S. Bridge St. and E. Fifth St. resulted in citations being issued at 8:44 PM.
The Chillicothe Police Department urges residents to report any suspicious activities and to remain vigilant in ensuring community safety. The department continues to investigate several of the incidents reported over the weekend.
