Chillicothe, Ohio – March 21, 2024 In a coordinated effort, the Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) made significant strides in taking illegal drugs off the streets this week.
On March 19th, CPD officers, working alongside agents from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority (APA), executed a search warrant at a residence on Theatre Street. During the search, authorities seized approximately 17 grams of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. While details of the investigation remain undisclosed, an individual was apprehended at the scene on an alleged violation of their parole agreement.
Later that same day, CPD teamed up with the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) to conduct a traffic stop on State Route 104. A K-9 unit from the OSP alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent search yielded approximately 120 grams of cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. Two individuals were arrested at the scene and face potential felony charges pending lab results.
