Chillicothe, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents on October 22, 2024, addressing issues ranging from traffic violations to drug-related offenses.
At 2:51 AM, officers initiated a traffic stop on a blue Nissan SUV, leading to an ongoing investigation for possession of a Schedule I or II substance and driving under suspension (DUS).
Later, at 4:08 AM, a traffic stop near South Renick Avenue resulted in a report of drug paraphernalia and a warrant check, with the investigation still in progress.
Throughout the day, multiple traffic stops were conducted for various offenses, including driving under suspension and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Notably, a traffic stop on North Bridge Street uncovered a case involving DUS related to unpaid fines and child support.
The department also initiated an investigation into a potential obscenity case linked to an internet crime, with reports filed on Vine Street.
In addition to traffic incidents, officers responded to a burglary report on Columbus Street, which is currently under investigation. A separate report of a potential drug issue on South Watt Street is also pending further inquiries.
Later in the evening, officers addressed a domestic dispute on Sunbury Road, resolving the situation without incident. A similar report of disorderly conduct involving a juvenile was received on Whaley Place, with ongoing investigations.
The day concluded with additional traffic enforcement, including a citation for an expired registration sticker after an observed violation at Southern Avenue.
