Chillicothe Police Report: Arrests, Traffic Violations, and Ongoing Investigations

February 27, 2025 – Chillicothe, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to multiple incidents throughout the city on February 26, 2025, involving traffic violations, theft, trespassing, and more.

Protection Order Violation – Officers were dispatched to BP on North Bridge Street shortly after midnight regarding a violation of a protection order.

Fleeing from Police – A driver on Mill Street failed to comply with an officer’s traffic stop order at 1:38 a.m., resulting in an arrest.

Traffic Violations – Several citations were issued for offenses including failure to reinstate a license on East 7th Street, driving while texting on North High Street, and speeding on Cedar Street. Additionally, two individuals ran red lights on East Main Street and Winona Boulevard.

Resisting Arrest & Strangulation – At 5:04 a.m., officers responded to multiple 911 hang-ups on Akron Street. The ongoing investigation involves allegations of resisting arrest and strangulation.

Theft Reports – Authorities responded to theft complaints on North Bridge Street and West 7th Street, with investigations still underway.

Criminal Mischief & Trespassing – A vandalism complaint was reported on East 5th Street, while officers were also called to Plum Street and North Mulberry Street for separate trespassing incidents.

Drug-Related Incidents – A juvenile was involved in a drug paraphernalia report on Cattail Road, and later in the day, officers encountered an individual on East 2nd Street who had both drug paraphernalia and an active warrant.

Disorderly Conduct & Assault – Police responded to reports of disorderly conduct, including an incident involving an assault at 1075 North Bridge Street. Officers also conducted a welfare check at Pilot on East Main Street.

Warrant Arrests – Officers encountered subjects with active warrants at East Main Street and Douglas Avenue.

With a total of 24 incidents recorded, the Chillicothe Police Department continues its efforts to maintain public safety and investigate ongoing cases.
