CHILLICOTHE, OH — July 31, 2024 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents throughout the city on July 30, 2024, addressing various issues from traffic violations to criminal activities.
Assault and Domestic Incident:
At approximately 2:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn at 20 N Plaza Blvd in response to a reported domestic assault involving strangulation. The investigation is ongoing.
Disorderly Conduct and Non-Criminal Incidents:
Early in the morning, at 6:13 a.m., officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at 343 S Watt St. Further investigation is pending. Additionally, a non-criminal incident was reported at 757 Madison Ave regarding a behavioral issue.
Traffic Stops and Violations:
Several traffic stops were conducted throughout the day for various infractions:
- At 8:13 a.m., a stop was made on W 5th St near University for a speed violation.
- Additional stops for speeding were recorded at 8:36 a.m., 8:52 a.m., and 9:23 a.m., all on W 5th St near University.
- At 11:35 a.m., officers issued a citation on W Water St for driving while texting and for driving in marked/continuous lines.
- Later, at 20:09, a traffic stop on N Bridge St resulted in a citation for driving under suspension issued to Felicia Holbrook, with a court date set for August 9, 2024.
- At 22:24, Malachi Perez received a citation on E Water St for expired vehicle registration tags, also with a court date of August 9, 2024.
Theft Reports:
- At 13:41, officers investigated a theft at Dollar General, 1050 E Main St. The investigation continues.
- Another theft was reported at Planet Fitness, 1080 N Bridge St, with ongoing investigations.
- A theft involving an EBT card was reported at River Trace Ln at 17:30, and the investigation is continuing.

- At 16:57, two males and a female were trespassed from a property on N Bridge St per management’s request.
