Chillicothe Police Report Highlights Arrests and Ongoing Investigations

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents on August 30, 2024, ranging from theft and disorderly conduct to assaults and drug-related offenses. Here are the highlights from the day’s activities:

Early Morning Incident: At 3:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Fairfield Inn & Suites on N Plaza Blvd following reports of three individuals in ski masks in the parking lot. The situation is under investigation.

Disorderly Conduct Reports: Officers were called to Glades on University Dr. at 8:19 a.m. and to Overlook Apartments on Anderson Station Rd. at 12:08 p.m. to handle disorderly conduct incidents. Both cases are ongoing.

Criminal Trespass: Two separate trespassing incidents were reported. The first occurred at 61 N Bridge St. at 8:46 a.m., and the second at 1326 N Bridge St. at 9:24 a.m., involving the Valero and Atomic Credit Union locations, respectively.

Gun Report: At 9:39 a.m., police responded to Adams Ave. concerning a female reportedly in possession of a firearm. This investigation is continuing.

Theft: A theft from a building was reported on E Main St. at 1:59 p.m. The case remains under investigation.

Robbery and Assault: An incident involving a robbery was reported in the alley between Madison and Jefferson Ave at 3:31 p.m. Arrests were made in connection with the incident. Additionally, at 6:35 p.m., officers responded to 158 N Mulberry St. for a domestic violence-related assault. The investigation is ongoing.

Telecommunications Harassment: A disturbance involving telecommunications harassment was reported at 6:00 p.m. on Vine St. This case is also continuing.

Drug Paraphernalia and Warrant: At 6:35 p.m., officers on N Bridge St. found drug paraphernalia and a warrant was served. Further details are pending.

Warrants: Additional warrants were served at the Ross County Jail at 12:58 p.m. and again at the jail at 9:35 p.m. The latter case is still under investigation.

The Chillicothe Police Department continues to investigate these incidents and is working to resolve the cases as new information becomes available.
