Chillicothe Police Report Highlights Recent Incidents

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department reported a series of incidents over the weekend, including drug overdoses, thefts, and disturbances.

In the early hours of September 28, officers responded to a report of a drug overdose at an apartment on Columbus Street. The investigation is ongoing.

Later that morning, police were dispatched to Valero on North Bridge Street regarding a theft. Additionally, officers located a missing juvenile at the YMCA parking lot, who was turned over to a deputy from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.

A vandalism report was filed on Orange Street, and a hit-skip incident occurred on Fairway Avenue. Officers also investigated a menacing complaint at the Law Enforcement Center.

Other notable incidents included:

  • A disorderly conduct report on South Hickory Street.
  • A misuse of credit card complaint on East Main Street.
  • A theft complaint at a residence on Ewing Street.
  • A disorderly conduct complaint involving threats at a gas station on East Main Street.

As the day progressed, police also addressed several criminal trespass and theft reports, including one on East Fourth Street.

The department encourages residents to report any suspicious activities or disturbances to ensure community safety. Further investigations are ongoing for many of the reported incidents.
