Chillicothe, OH—The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents over the weekend, detailed in their daily media report for October 14, 2024.
In the early hours of October 13, officers were dispatched to multiple locations for various complaints. At 12:07 AM, police responded to a parking lot on North Bridge Street regarding a reckless driver. Just before that, at 1:55 AM, a traffic stop on East 7th Street resulted in a citation for an expired plate.
Later that morning, officers encountered a more serious situation on Dayton Street, where a traffic stop led to charges of resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
The SWAT team was activated around 7:38 AM to serve a search warrant at a residence on Liberty Hill Road, with investigations ongoing in this case.
A littering complaint drew attention on Clay Street after an individual, identified as Sarah Kennedy, failed to remove trash from a neighbor’s property by a set deadline. She has since been charged with littering.
Disorderly conduct complaints were also reported at various locations, including a movie theater on Pawnee Road and multiple residences throughout the city, with investigations still in progress.
In addition, police responded to a theft complaint at Ulta on North Bridge Street, as well as an ongoing investigation into a shoplifting incident at Walmart on River Trace Lane.
Officers also dealt with domestic violence and juvenile disorderly conduct complaints late in the evening.
