Chillicothe Police Report: Multiple Incidents on December 23, 2024

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to several incidents throughout the city on December 23, 2024, including traffic violations, disorderly conduct, thefts, and vandalism.

At approximately 1:16 AM, officers initiated a traffic stop on Diehl Street due to a vehicle’s tail light issue. The driver was found to have unpaid fines and a warrant.

Shortly after, at 1:24 AM, police were dispatched to 1017 Akron Street to address a disorderly conduct complaint.

Later, around 4:08 AM, an attempted traffic stop on a gray Jaguar led to a failure to comply charge, with further investigation pending.

At 5:27 AM, officers responded to a report of a drug overdose at 311 E. Fourth Street, continuing their investigation into the incident.

Throughout the day, additional reports included a trespass complaint at the Law Enforcement Center, a counterfeit bill investigation on Western Avenue, and multiple theft complaints from local businesses, including shoplifting incidents at Houch’s and Valero.

Disorderly conduct calls persisted, with officers dispatched to Turnberry Lane regarding a disturbance and to W. Second Street for a domestic dispute.

Notably, two incidents of criminal mischief were reported: one at TJ Maxx on N. Bridge St. and another at Lowe’s, also on N. Bridge St.

One driver, identified as Michele Mullins, was cited for driving under suspension after being stopped for expired registration on Bridge Street. She was given a court date of January 6, 2025.

The police department continues to investigate these incidents, emphasizing community safety and prompt responses to reported crimes.
