Chillicothe, OH—The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents on October 12, 2024, including traffic violations, domestic disputes, and a notable felonious assault.

Traffic Violations and Accidents The day began with a traffic stop on Eastern Avenue at 12:02 AM, resulting in charges for disobeying traffic control devices and driving under suspension. Later, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on North Bridge Street at 3:25 AM, where one driver was found to be operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content between .08 and .17.

Domestic Dispute and Disorderly Conduct At 1:42 AM, officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute at 74 South Brownell Street, leading to a report of disorderly conduct. A subsequent call at 9:39 AM on South Watt Street also involved aggravated menacing, with an investigation still ongoing.

Felonious Assault Investigation One of the more serious incidents occurred at 2:41 AM near the Wobbly Ghost Tavern on East Main Street, where officers investigated reports of gunfire. The case is currently under investigation.

Warrants and Drug Offenses In the afternoon, officers addressed a trespassing complaint at 100 South Mulberry Street, which resulted in a warrant being issued. Later, the SWAT team was activated to serve a search warrant at 450 Lille Street.

As the evening progressed, a traffic stop on South Renick Avenue led to charges for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and a robbery investigation was initiated following a report at the intersection of Dayton and Douglas Streets.

Final Incidents of the Night The police reported two additional incidents of disorderly conduct—one involving an intoxicated individual near East Water Street, which resulted in an arrest, and a theft reported on Toledo Street.
