Chillicothe Police Report: Multiple Incidents on October 30, 2024

On October 30, 2024, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents throughout the city, from thefts and disturbances to vehicle accidents.

The day began early with a concerning report at Sherman Park around 12:55 AM, where officers found a child standing alone in the 600 block. An investigation is ongoing regarding this potential endangerment.

Later that morning, at approximately 1:39 AM, police were dispatched to North Bridge Street to investigate a possible theft. The investigation is still in progress. Shortly after, at 4:02 AM, a disorderly conduct incident was reported on Scioto Avenue.

As the morning continued, officers responded to several other calls, including a reported protection order violation on North Walnut Street and a non-criminal trespassing complaint also on North Bridge Street.

A traffic enforcement operation was underway on East Main Street, where officers monitored for speeding violations. Further incidents included a reported accident and a warrant enforcement effort.

Midday brought a series of more serious offenses. Officers responded to a theft complaint at Adena Urgent Care and began an investigation into receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence. Additionally, they dealt with a disorderly conduct report related to landlord-tenant disputes on North Mulberry Street.

A more alarming call came in around 3:56 PM when officers investigated an assault that included a report of strangulation at a residence on North Bridge Street. Meanwhile, a known individual, Jordan Stotridge, was arrested on South Bridge Street for a warrant related to a previous driving under suspension charge.

The evening hours saw reports of vehicle damage attributed to nearby construction work, prompting officers to advise residents on potential remedies. Other calls included possible vehicle theft and a theft complaint received at the Law Enforcement Center.

In total, the Chillicothe Police Department documented 24 incidents on October 30, reflecting the ongoing commitment to community safety and law enforcement responsiveness. Investigations are ongoing for several of these cases.
