CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to a variety of incidents on January 29, 2025, including multiple arrests, theft complaints, and disturbances. Below are some of the key incidents reported:
Suspicious Persons Lead to Arrest on Warner Ave.
At 3:48 AM, officers were dispatched to 42 Warner Ave regarding suspicious persons. During the investigation, Steven M. Carsey-Ferri was arrested for obstructing official business, criminal trespass, and having an outstanding warrant.
Drug Possession Arrest on East Main Street
At 4:24 AM, officers conducted a citizen contact on E Main St, resulting in the arrest of an individual for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Parking Complaint on Park Street
At 8:00 AM, CPD responded to a parking complaint at 184 Park St. The case was categorized as non-criminal.
Trespassing Incident on South Walnut Street
At 8:01 AM, officers investigated a trespassing complaint at 240 S Walnut St. Further investigation is ongoing.
Theft Reported on Cheyenne Drive
At 11:03 AM, a theft was reported at 1 Cheyenne Dr. The case is under investigation.
Death Investigation on Lillie St.
At 11:47 AM, officers responded to 437.5 Lillie St regarding a non-suspicious death. The investigation is pending.
Unruly Juvenile and Disorderly Conduct
At 12:10 PM, CPD was called to Cleveland St to handle an unruly juvenile. Another disorderly conduct case was reported at Fairway Ave at 1:09 PM. Both investigations are ongoing.
Theft at Kroger on North Bridge Street
At 2:03 PM, a theft was reported at the Kroger on N Bridge St. The investigation is ongoing.
Warrant Arrest on East 2nd St.
At 4:32 PM, Kaleb Campbell, who had an active warrant for criminal trespass, was arrested near 312 E 2nd St. He was transported to the Ross County Jail and will be held until his court appearance on January 30, 2025.
Criminal Mischief Reported on South Hickory Street
At 5:38 PM, a vandalism complaint was filed at 170 S Hickory St. The case is under investigation.
Disorderly Conduct at Sherman Park
At 7:28 PM, officers were dispatched to Sherman Park in reference to a disorderly conduct incident involving fighting or threats. The investigation continues.
Criminal Trespass at Chillicothe Mall
At 11:26 PM, a criminal trespass complaint was reported at the Chillicothe Mall on N Bridge St. The investigation is ongoing.
Throughout the day, CPD also responded to other routine incidents, including traffic stops and minor criminal offenses. Several cases remain under investigation.
