Chillicothe police responded to a variety of incidents throughout the city on November 5, 2024, ranging from traffic stops and warrants to thefts and disturbances. Below is a summary of some of the key calls for service:

  • Warrants and Arrests: Officers were busy serving warrants throughout the day. At 1:42 a.m., police assisted the Ohio State Patrol at the county line regarding a warrant. Later, at 5:33 a.m., a subject with an active warrant was located at the Ross County Jail. Another warrant-related call came in at 3:31 p.m. when officers took custody of two individuals with active warrants in the Ross/Pike County area. They were transported to the Ross County Jail.
  • Traffic Stops and Arrests: Traffic enforcement remained a focus, with multiple stops and citations issued throughout the day. A notable incident occurred at 6:02 p.m. when a driver was arrested for OVI (Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence) after a traffic stop on North Bridge Street. Officers also responded to a crash at 6:26 p.m. on East 2nd Street and initiated a traffic stop for driving over marked lines earlier in the day.
  • Domestic Disputes and Disorderly Conduct: Officers were dispatched to several disturbances. At 9:56 a.m., a disorderly conduct call was reported at 1490 North Bridge Street (Wendy’s), where a fight was taking place. A domestic dispute was reported later at 5:05 p.m. on East 5th Street. An intoxicated man was reported breaking windows on Fairway Avenue at 11:16 a.m., with the investigation ongoing.
  • Theft Reports: Multiple thefts were reported throughout the day. A theft without consent was investigated at Loan Central on Consumer Center Drive at 3:47 p.m. Later, a theft was reported on Columbus Street at 4:34 p.m., and another theft occurred at Walmart on River Trace Lane at 6:34 p.m., where an unknown male suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
  • Miscellaneous Calls: Police also responded to various other incidents, including a dog bite report at 6:08 p.m. on West 2nd Street, a juvenile-related call on North Paint Street at 6:50 p.m., and a non-criminal complaint at Taylor’s Stag Bar on East Main Street at 10:02 a.m. Officers also dealt with a traffic complaint involving a road rage incident at North Bridge Street and Seney Road at 9:56 a.m.
