On December 22, 2024, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to several incidents throughout the city, including thefts, traffic accidents, and drug-related offenses.
Warrant Service At midnight, officers were dispatched to 28 N Paint Street to handle a warrant issue.
Theft and Robbery Incident At approximately 10:25 AM, officers responded to 75 River Trace Lane regarding a theft. Dispatch reported that two male suspects, described as black, fled the scene in a two-door red vehicle. This case has been classified as aggravated robbery and felonious assault, with possession of drugs also involved.
Traffic Accident Shortly after, at 11:52 AM, a traffic incident occurred on Western Avenue involving a vehicle driven by Peace Jessa. The driver lost control, crossing all lanes and crashing into a parked car in the BMV parking lot. Jessa appeared disoriented and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Trespass Complaints Throughout the day, officers received reports of trespassing. At 12:15 PM, a complaint was filed at 1390 N Bridge Street, followed by another at 295 E 2nd Street at 6:42 PM. Both cases are under investigation.
Thefts at Local Businesses Multiple thefts were reported at local businesses. A theft without consent was reported at Kroger on Western Avenue around 1:42 PM, and another occurred at Valero on N Bridge Street at 2:14 PM. Investigations are ongoing in these cases.
Additional Incidents Officers responded to a crash at Cristy’s Pizza on E Water Street at 7:09 PM and a theft at Dollar General on E Main Street at 7:19 PM, which resulted in an arrest for possession of drugs and theft.
Overall, the Chillicothe Police Department continues to address these incidents as investigations proceed.
