Chillicothe Police Reports Detail Varied Incidents Across the City

Chillicothe, OH – A recent series of police reports from Chillicothe showcases the range of incidents officers handled throughout the day, underscoring the varied nature of law enforcement responsibilities in the city.

In the early hours of July 16, 2024, Officer conducted a routine traffic stop on N Hickory St at 2:54 AM. The stop resulted in citations for a twelve-point suspension and an expired plate/validation sticker violation.

Later that morning, at 5:24 AM, officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at 187 E 2nd St, addressing community concerns about noise disturbances.

While patrolling on E Main St at 6:11 AM, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired registration. The driver, confirmed awareness of the violation upon being stopped near E Main St and Brownell St.

At 6:50 AM, police responded to Valero on N Bridge St regarding found property, with an ongoing investigation initiated.

Incidents of criminal mischief were reported throughout the day. At 7:16 AM, officers were dispatched to 356 E Main St for property damage. Subsequent reports at 9:51 AM on E 5th St and at 11:43 AM on Linn St also involved investigations into criminal mischief.

The day’s activities included several theft reports. At 9:33 AM, officers investigated a theft complaint in the 200 block of Old Eastern Ave. Another theft report came in at 9:51 AM from 228 N Bridge St, followed by additional incidents reported at 11:17 AM on Neal Ave and at 17:29 PM on River Trace Ln.

Warrants were served and investigated throughout the day, including instances on N Paint St and E 7th St. Meanwhile, a domestic violence dispute was reported at 16:53 PM on W 7th St, prompting ongoing investigation.

At 19:28 PM, officers responded to a drug overdose incident in the 1000 block of Columbus St, where timely intervention saved a female subject’s life.
